Packing 101

As many of us are contemplating our summer vacations and are planning on going to parties in California, sight-seeing in New York, sunbathing on a beach in Miami, or just visiting friends and family in a hometown, there’s that one dreaded task we must all do before we set off to travel; packing!

I’m sure there are some of you who pack very lightly and those, like myself, bring your whole room with you. Here are some helpful ways  start packing fashionably.

Neutral:

Colors that are neutral colors such as beige, black, navy, white and tan can be matched with colorful jewelry.

Jeans:

Banana Republic

A bootcut jean can be dressed up or down with flats or wedges for summer.

Scarves:

H&M

I usually use scarves as a blanket on flights, car rides or to dress up a simple jean and shirt combo. Choose colors that are fresh and bright for summer vacations. This scarf doubles as a headband too.

Sunglasses:

Invest in a good pair that suits the shape of your face and has UVA/UVB protection.

Shoes:

Bring a pair of comfortable and stylish closed shoes and a pair of sandals that can be paired with a dressy and casual outfit.

Maxi Dresses:

Happy Hippie-Historic Downtown Glendale

If you are on the shorter side, try sun dresses that have that Maxi-dress shape and fall right above your ankles and pair with dress sandals that you can dress up for other simple and chic outfits when packing.

TIP—> Save aside a good amount of money for spending on souvenirs, snacks or other memos. Pack what is absolutley necessary because from experience of traveling for so many years, I can say that I don’t actually wear all of the things that I pack, so make a mental note from your pictures of the things you wore the most on your trip.
